This painting was inspired by one of the artists most revered by Leiva, none other than Vincent Van Gogh. The original painting was named: "Femme Dans un Jardin" or "A woman walking in the garden" and was painted by van Gogh in the year 1887. Artist Leiva calls this his tribute and named it his: "Dan Gogh" In 1886, van Gogh left Holland for Paris, never to return. His brother Theo, a successful Parisian art dealer, provided Van Gogh with the support and connections for immersion in modern art.
